Hello my user name is griffin alexander, I'm Steve, user name is my cats. I like what you guys are doing. I found this through some YouTube videos that interested me, then I started watching some stuff starting with people questioning the legality of police violating peoples rights and ended up seeing a guy named Ian who fights for ppl's liberties which led to free keene which led here.
I'm interested because I think you guys are onto something. I know for a fact that our constitution allows us legally to change our government whenever we feel as a people that it isn't working for us and I think that time is here. I believe that we have been in an illegitimate government since Kennedy was assassinated and that you folks are doing a good thing here.
I'm curious what it's like up there. I grew up in New England, in Rhode Island, and lived in NYC for many years. I currently have a home in Florida and I'm retired due to some disabilities. I wonder if there are gay people in the area u all are in and if it's a place that's welcoming to ppl like me.
I would like to visit there one day and perhaps eventually move there. Also what are the laws for medical marijuana use there?
I like what you all are doing and I think you are doing a great job at the peaceful protesting and going against the system. And I wanted to also say thank you because some of you are doing things that not all of us have the strength to do.
I wanted to add that I've just watched the video of those thieves stealing from that store and I think you all should be proud of yourselves for standing up to those idiots. Not all of us have the ability to do that kind of thing but many of us want to. I've been looking at some nice homes up there and perhaps when I can sell my florida home at a profit maybe i"ll go up there if you all are accepting of others' lifestyles.
I miss the flora and fauna of New England as well.
Hi Steve. There's definitely a bigger gay scene in the Manchester area, as it's got the most population. Liberty activists are very accepting folks and in fact at the Porcupine Freedom Festival, our yearly camping fest in the White Mountains we have the yearly "Big Gay Dance Party" - it's a blast!

What are you talking about? There are no gay people here.
And that's my queue to plug my show!
Thank you for your response. We go on straight cruises twice a year usually and such so I just wanted to make sure it's not an issue up there. I'm a New Englander from birth to my late 20s and in fact used to make my fireworks trip every July when I was younger. I'll be looking around in a couple of years after I can sell my home and actually get back something for it. Not sure if I'll be able to handle the cold weather anymore after bing in Florida so long but I definitely believe in your movement and would like to be part of it. I'm disabled w/ 8 bad discs and migraines as well as some other health issues such as chronic kidney stones. So I'm not as active as I once was physically.
I do know it's our right in the constitution to change our government if we aren't happy with it as it exists And I see a big push to a police state since 9/11.
I have my own stories of things that have happened that I recall vividly, from the time in NYC during the Republiican national convention where I was threatened if I took out my camera I'd be arrested and blocked from going down the street to where I worked because it was near madison square garden where the convention was being held. And those who were arrested wound up suing the city and won some years later for being unlawfully detained.
I'm hoping that medicinal marijuana becomes legal on the federal level and also for recreational use so that many of us who can benefit from it don't have to either pay ridiculous prices nor feel like we are subject to prosecution for taking medince that helps us with nausea and appetite and pain. I'd love to be growing it in my yard but I'm afraid that if I did so the men with guns would come and steal my house.
Anyway as time, money and my health allows I'd like to get up there this summer or next for a week and visit your beautiful state, maybe get to attend one of those kick ass sounding 4;20 parties.

Hi Steve,
I've lived in NH my whole life, and I would definitely encourage you to visit! It's beautiful up here especially in the summer and fall, we have the first presidential primary which is always fun lol and Im straight but I do know some super fun gay clubs.
I will say… It's not the promised land. We still have taxes, the winters really do bite and the police are up our butts like anywhere else but there is a significant portion of the local population that supports the FSP, and in a place like Keene or the Durham area it would not be too hard for you to find one of these locals, in fact I'm on this forum so you kind of already have lol. We can show you how to find cheap places to live, what to stock up on for winter, and some surprisingly public spots where you can smoke a j in peace lol. Also you asked about the medical laws: it is pretty much still illegal here although the Governor did sign a bill into law last summer that will allow some patients register for an ID card that will allow them to have two ounces that they get from an Alternative Treatment Center ( government approved dispensary). There are only about twelve conditions that would qualify you for a card and the law only approves four ATCs in the state. Also no can get a card yet they haven't even made all the rules for processing the applications so there is still a long road ahead. And yes, if you get caught with weed in the meantime you could still get in trouble. I could get into all the flaws of that bill but this is easier:

Thanks for responding and NTMY. I just scanned through that law or bill and it certainly isn't the best. The best part one would expect from any medical marijuana bill would be to be able to grow one's own and avoid buying it. I do get marinol but it's not the same.
The good news is that I have multiple qualifying medical conditions to be approved (or the bad news depending how u look at it).
When I lived in RI we used to drive up to Maine in the summers and rollerblade on I think it was called Orchard Beach or Old Orchard Beach, it was like a boardwalk type of place.
Things have been a little tight the past few months as my partner has become a real estate agent and is just getting his first home sold this week, so I've been carrying the financial load w/ my pension for a few months. Though now that the first one is sold it should be getting better rather quickly. We are at this point more like siblings than anything else, and when the time comes to sell the house I may be moving up North on my own, it hasn't been all decided yet or even thought out. I'm just looking at options.
I really think that we all should be able to enjoy not being bothered over anything considered pursuing happiness unless that happiness involves violence. People shouldn't be pulled over as a form of taxation, nor should they be hassled over whatever they choose to ingest. And when I was a teen in RI we had no insurance required to drive. If you caused an accident or were in one you had to pay a bond or wait till the case was resolved. I still don't see that requiring compulsory insurance benefits anyone except the insurance companies.
Anyway thank you for replying, If I make it up there this summer I'll post here and if anything's going on the week I might visit I'll be sure to check it out.
