My name is Charles and I am a recovering Statist. I hope to move to the Shire in less than a year. I learned about the Free State Project from LRN.FM and all the liberty minded podcasts.
Until about the year 2000 I was unaware of anything outside of my little circle of friends. In 2001 I became a Conservative and started listening to people like Alex Jones and Coast-to-coast am. Around 2007 started moving away from my conservatism and onto a independent political view. I learned about the Left and Right and saw the sameness, both use force and both want to control me and other peaceful people. I could never put a finger on my feelings of uneasiness, but I knew something was not right. I haven't owned a Television in about fifteen years so maybe I was less able to be influenced by the MSM.
As of three weeks ago I moved away from Libertarianism and onto Anarchism. I can now see the cage.

And thank you for the welcome. I can't remember being so excited. I was planning to move to Ghana in west Africa before I found lrn.fm and the free state project.
I was told I could bribe the authorities in Africa.
