Favorite PlayStation Games

Just for the sake of having converstation, what are your favorite all time PlayStation games and why?
Try to keep the list short.

  1. Jack and Daxter ( Ending to their first three games were phenomenal)
  2. Metal gear( I mean it’s the one game everyone should play)
  3. Silent hill( it messed with my mind)
  4. Socom US navy seals (favorite shooter that was amazing for its time)
  5. Kingdom hearts( best story line- that kept me going)
  6. Grand theft auto( for obvious reasons)

Silent Hill was pretty spooky and Metal Gear also a classic.

I have a PS4 and used to have a PS2. My favorites have been Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Just Cause 3.

I don’t have a TV right now though, so it’s all about playing Mount & Blade on PC right now. :grin:

Resident evil. First horror survival game I remember playing, but I was drunk, so I don’t remember much.

Also tomb raider.

Currently for PS4 it’s Friday the 13th. But havig to purchase a ps+ subscription to play is bullshit. But it’s only a favorite because it’s the only ps game I currently play. It has so many things wrong with it it’s not even funny. Games today are released buggy because they can and will be updated constantly.

Modern game controllers have too many buttons. I can’t hadle it.

I’ve not played in years, however I love a good wrestling game (I remember Smackdown being good back in the day) or NCAA football game from EA Sports

Which Silent hill did you play?

My opinion metal gear has gotten worst in recent installments, but 1, 2, and 3 are amazing!

Never played castlevania, it was on game boy too right?

Not Symphony of the Night. PS1, Saturn. PS1 version is the best.

Dude Friday the 13th!!! It so astonishing to think that ( well at least for me) there hasn’t been anything like it before. What’s the other game that’s like it… The name escapes me.

True. I miss the college football games, sad that they stop making new ones.

Every time I try to get into final fantasy I can never finish. Have you tried playing online nowadays?

Yes but there is no or very limited PVP. When I moved on to MMO’s with DAoC it was PvP or bust after that.

I’ve never played Dragon Ball Z, though I understand it’s popular among wrestling fans (and even a good many wrestlers)

Not much of a gamer since SNES but oddly I’ve always had a console.
Now w/ a PS4 to play once in a blue moon NFS, GTA, or NBA2K
My kids enjoy them more than I do and they have couple of the games for children.

For me at least, it sucks when you get older and you have no time to play. I can only finish a game when I go on vacation from work. And that’s like once a year lol

I hope you okay with your kids… I wish my parents were that cool and challenge me to a dragon ball z brawl back in the day lol

When you grow up with gaming, your kids tend to also. I actually had my kids start on a SNES before I got them that generations console. Now my oldest plays indie PC games and my youngest Switch and PS4 games. They make me proud.
