This Saturday from 9-12 just down the road from Rogers Campground the locals will be having a Farmers Market.
I see this as a great opportunity for outreach. Not only are farmers usually small business owners but they get to see first hand government interference in their work. As one of its many near-monopolies the government holds the certification titled “Organic”. Many consumers wont purchase produce without this certification.
Certified Naturally Grown is an independent organization that offers peer review certification of farms. It has less paperwork, is cheaper, and best of all empowers the farmers themselves.
