Don't Know where to Start

Hello, I'm new here, and I'm trying to figure where/when I want to move the NH

The probelm is I don't know where to start.

I'm 21 right now (will be 22 when my current contract ends) and I've been in an organization the last 3 years that plans all my housing, foods, etc…  My contract is up in June.

Any help on where to start would be appreciated.

I have some experience with basic engineering (I work with laser range finders now) and  probably planning on attending a college when I get to NH (this whole thing is up in the air right now).

Any help on where to start would be appreciated.

I would suggest, where you want to start depends on what you want to do when you get here. I've chosen Keene because there is alot of the civil disobedance there. Of course I've been told Manchester has a lot too, but having lived in a city of 360,000 I choose not to live there anymore.

Oh, and welcome.

The Manchies have been complaining that the anarchists there have been doing mostly politics.  At least a few are considering a move to Keene.

As far as moving to NH:

Save money for moving expenses and a few months' rent.
Decide where you want to go.
Move.

Welcome!

I am interested in Civil Disobience myself.  I'm a firm believer that you can only gain as much as you risk;  political activism isn't risky, so its a slow process.  Civil Disobience is very risky, and generates greater/speedier results.

I like the size of Keene better.  The city that I live close to now is about the same size (Hamilton).  Larger cities ain't my thing.

I get out of the army here in june 09, and am hoping to be NE late '09 early '10.

Luckily for me I don't own much ( so no moving hassles) and the money I saved from being in Iraq is definately enough to sustain me for a while.

Heh, I did that exact thing in '07. I ETS'ed from Ft. Hood. Drove to Arkansas to visit family for several weeks then drove to Keene. While with my parents I looked for apartments online. Found a place the day before I left AR.
Once here I went to a couple temp agencies and found a job.

It can be a bit stressful, but as long as you have a bit of savings and don't take too long finding a job you'll do fine.

I look forward to meeting yet another veteran to make the move.  8)

Hello… and welcome to the board!  I am new here too. I joined the FSP back in March and now I'm headed to Keene in about two weeks. There has been a great deal of loose ends to tie up here in Michigan but I'm about ready to hit the road.  It sounds to me like you might just have a relatively easy transition in making your move. Timing is everything!  Make the best of it while you can.  Hope to see you soon in NH.
