Hi! Very excited to have found this group! I’ve long been contemplating moving to New Hampshire as part of the Free State Project, but the Shire Society seems to be even more in accord with my philosophy toward life and coexistence. I hope to get to know some of you in the coming months and seeing how I can find my place in this project.

It’s definitely the plan. I want to raise a family there. Just working on the financial side, for now. I’m actually originally from Vermont, so it’s almost a return to the homeland, but Vermont is basically the socialist “paradise” to the West, so it won’t quite work. Currently building up in Ohio.

What do you do for work? There are lots of jobs in NH right now. I couldn’t find painters for less than $25 an hour. You may find more economic opportunity here than Ohio.
I’ve long had a few different income streams. Right now, my main income is taking pizza orders in a call center. It was a guaranteed job to get once I moved back in July, definitely working on getting something better. I’m good at it though, top 3 upseller for my first 3 months. Outside of that, I do occasional graphic design, video editing, and website maintenance for a music promoter. I also do online tutoring in math and science. In the past, my main income was from freelance writing, generally articles on science and health, although for a very brief stint I actually wrote for A Voice for Men, until I decided to distance myself from the movement. Didn’t get paid for that, but it’s worth noting.
I just signed up with a new freelance writing middleman, which will hopefully get me back into doing that. I’m very good with words, and I’d like to get back to using my talents more fully.
