What are the feelings here about a re-instituted draft, or compulsory military service?
Do you think that some in NH would provide sanctuary for draft dodgers or those refusing to register?
I know that there strong support for the military among a significant portion of the populace here, but is there also a strong anti-draft sentiment among some?
Are you a libertarian or just trying to infiltrate libertarians ? The foundation of libertarianism is the non-aggression principle. Anyone who advocates for violence isn’t a libertarian. They’re at most a fraud trying to muddy the waters of what libertarian means. Libertarians don’t believe in the use of violence outside of self defense. Libertarians are just shy of being pacifists.
I’m not a libertarian, and I’m not trying to infiltrate any group.
I’m asking questions about how people in NH might take the
imposition of a draft, and how others might react to such
actions.
My questions are about NH in general, libertarian or otherwise.
Personally, I’m an anarchist… I grew up with the Vietnam
War born in 1953. I was anti-war then, and am now.
I personally think the Selective Service System violates the 13th Amendment which differentiates between “slavery” and “involuntary servitude.”
How is the draft not “involuntary servitude?”
It is… And thus, it is unconstitutional.
I am not here questioning legality… my primary interest is:
How are New Hampshirites likely to respond to such action.
This is a completely practical question, and has nothing to
do with whether those here agree or disagree with the politics.
What does it mean, PRACTICALLY, to New Hampshire residents?
