Colorado Dems attempting to force Uber out of state?

This thread will attempt to provide a list of options Coloradans can use to help preserve access to Uber rides. First, here’s what’s going on:

I have to be in Colorado a lot as my parents’ health deteriorates. So I’ve been drawn into this out of state conflict. Will do my best to make sure the Free State Project benefits and CO athoritarians don’t get their way. Sending this to the local paper:

Anti-Uber bill highlights deteriorating political situation in CO

Dear folks at the Gazette:

When I grew up in the Springs around 1980, there was relative freedom. But a recent Gazette article reminds us Colorado is becoming a place of authoritarian rule.

In the name of passenger safety, state house Dems are apparently trying to restrict Coloradans’ access to Uber. As a frequent and current visitor here, I’m reliant on the rideshare app to reach my assisted-living parents and provide them with care. But “your” government may rob me of that, as it has robbed you of so many other human rights.

If the state house really wanted safety for the people, it would repeal its pro-criminal gun laws and let passengers defend themselves without The Man’s permission.

Fortunately, there is a place which retains the liberties Colorado has lost. That place is New Hampshire. Over six thousand libertarians have moved there as part of a movement called the Free State Project. Many more are gradually trickling in. We’ve captured over 30 seats in the legislature, cut the state budget and defended our people from the real danger: Politicians.

New Hamspshire now dominates Colorado in nearly every quality of life metric, from low crime to high income. And we pay no state tax on that income.

If you’re ready to vote with your feet as I did, visit FreeStateProject.org. Or visit Forum.ShireSociety.com to help protect Uber access in CO.
