I invite you to read this about myself.
I was an early Free Stater > opted out of NH > a FSP voter > FSP chose NH > I moved to MT
Democrat > liberal > classic-liberal > Libertarian > libertarian > anarchist > voluntarist
Catholic > Mormon > spiritual > neo-pagan > men's work > agnostic > atheist
I like sunshine, indoor gardening, green walls, hydroponics, vermaculture and chickens.
I am: independent, creative, an international traveler, healthy, frugal, an entrepreneur
I want: joy, love, intellectual stimulation, fun, activity, community and a full tan
I don't need: work, gov, food, voting, lodging, transport, money, mate, or security
"I don't need no stinkin' rules."
I will participate in Pork-Fest next summer.
I could live anywhere I wished to live.
Being a survivalist is OK, but I would prefer being a thrive-alist.
My morality comes from inside me.
I hope to die in my garden choking on a delicious tomato I grew.
I can match any of your stories, but rather we created some new ones together.
Do you know of a great place to live?

what's men's work?

"Men's work" is a bunch of guys banging drums around a campfire dancing nakid, screaming, singing and telling stories all night, as probably described by a bridge club.
One example of "Men's Work" was the Dragon Lodge. It was organized by and for only guys and we would usually meet around a campfire once a month, during the lunar no moon. Usually 20 to 25 guys would show-up with our ritual drums, anticipation and open hearts. At the end of the previous month's meeting one guy would volunteer to be the next Dance Chief, or facilitator. He would think, feel, agonize and then invent some agenda designed around something he was passionate about and wanted to share with the other guys. Then he would send a special invitation to all Lodge Members. When we got there, we would drum until we could feel the unity form in the sound. He would then lead us through the program. The only rules were 1) The Dance Chief decides! and 2) If you want to talk, you must "speak your truth." I can't put into words the joy/sorrow/awakening/power/human/male/maturing experience I shared with those men. Besides, it's personal stuff to be kept within our group.
A few National Men's Work contributors who shared their thoughts and feelings were Robert Bly, a poet, Michael Meade, a story teller, and Aaron Kipling who wrote Knights Without Armor. We also put together vision quests, cave rituals, sweat lodges, rope courses, built a keva and climbed rocks together. But mostly we drummed spiritually and "shared our truth" around a campfire under a dark sky. I really miss those guys and what we created and shared, together.
Thanx for asking,
