Goddamn, this bullshit just hurts my head. People’s brains operate on branding in this society, this constant dilution of it trashes the whole concept to the masses.
This just demonstrates Blockstream were never out to fix anything. They mean to destroy. The web site appeared out of nowhere two days ago. Nice timing, eh? Note how they dragged nationalism into it, which has been a theme with Blockstream, (aka “Chinese miners.”)

There’s confusion about whether they’re planning to fork BTC or BCH. Taking their FAQ on its word (hard to do) sounds like they’re actually forking BTC.
Maybe it backfires, and people will be able to sell the “BCP” for BCH. This would turn out well if they’re forking BTC, because it should come out of their market cap, unless it draws more newbies in to BTC.
All this breaks my brain. Make it work and leave it be! I miss old school bitcoin where my and my friend were trading it for favors and cups of coffee from eachother
