Most people aren’t ready to be married, see. divorce rates, and so they shouldn’t get married.
Of the people who should marry they’ve been spending too much on it. Some of the cost is “inherent?” in the fact that if a company knows you’re buying something for a wedding they have extra liability in most States. But people have been spending an inordinate amount of money on silly shit. Somewhere along the line, middle class people decided that they should throw parties as if they had the income of ruling classes when they get married. Many people could literally buy a house outright with the amount of money they spend on their wedding. People have dropped a car on a dress they are going to wear once. This is ridiculous; they need to stop it.
