Another marijuana victory for state of Maine!

I’m hoping somewhere around 20/20. Will see full on legalization in the United States. “The way it should be” !!

It’s not actually a victory. It increases the sales tax on recreational marijuana from 10% to 20%.

It also reduces the number of recreational flowering plants a 21+ year old can grow from 6 to 3.

Recreational marijuana pass by referendum in November 2016. They passed some bill to delayed implementation of commercial growing and retail stores until February 2018. That delay is over, but no state agency is taking applications for retail marijuana.

So this is just lawmakers trying to make the law more to their liking before they implement it.
