All about me! :D

Hi everyone! I am srqrebel from the Free Keene forum. Here are my answers to the three mandatory questions:

1.  Tell us about yourself.

I am an early mover of the Free State Project, and currently reside in the Greater Keene Metropolitan Area. I moved to the Shire from Florida in June of 2007, just in time for Porcfest.
In my personal views, I relate best to voluntaryism. I agree with, and strive to live by, the non-aggression principle. In fact, I hold that violence is both practically self-defeating, and morally unacceptable, except when used strictly in defense of oneself and one's own against a crime in progress - and then only as a last resort. In that regard, I do not qualify as a pacifist.
I maintain that there are four general categories of freedom related activism: 1) Legal and political, a.k.a. "inside the system", 2) Civil disobedience, peaceful demonstrations, etc, a.k.a "outside the system", 3) Media (spreading the memes through communication) and 4) Self-sufficiency development (Unplugging from the political, social, and economic system of serfdom, thereby effectively withdrawing one's supportive values).
Of these four, I consider (for reasons too compex to detail here), the latter two to be the only ones that hold any real, longterm promise. (One exception is recording of on-duty agents of the state - though that could be considered media.)
I could be wrong, and I do not begrudge those who engage in other forms of activism - to each his own. My focus is on the latter two.

2.  Why are you here?

I was on the Free Keene forum, and am following it here. My purpose is to use it to keep in touch with fellow freedom lovers in the Shire. I use the forum, though infrequently, to post things of mutual interest, and also to buy and sell items of interest to forum participants.

3.  How did you find the Shire Society?

I do not recall for certain, but I believe it was through an email invitation from Ian.

Welcome - again.

Haha, thanks for pointing that out. 99% of the credit belongs to you, Ian, and whoever else was/is involved in doing the actual work to make this idea a useful reality!
