about me...

I am 67 and a true progressive since age 14 when I got interested i politics on my own. I used to be very idealistic and you’d say naive as I thought Maoism was the way to go for France (Where I lived) and the rest of the world. We did not know about repression, killings, misery in China; we only heard good news in a Maoist paper. There was also a Leninist paper besides the official communist paper in France.
I have been in the US since 1979. I believed it was be the country of Freedom & Liberty until I noticed propaganda and witnessed the shrinking of news organizations especially after 1999 (Thank you Mr Clinton and Demoblicans.)
1993 and the 1st Golf war brought censorship to ALL radio and TV programs including NPR that became National Pentagon Radio and has been ever since.
For my news, I rely on Democracy now, Daily Kos Realnews, OPEDnews, Commondreams and sometimes RT on Utube + I LOVE Redacted tonight (Utube) and still read parts of mainstream like NYTimes, Wash Post, Financial Times. I post on the blaze at times with links but people there are low-education voters who support Trump “no- matter-what” and are totally brainwashed by the blaze and Fox “news” and 90% of shows avail on AM which are right-wing and/ or fascist.
Used to follow Alex Jones who was right on 9/11 but now I think his brain was messed up with CIA/NSA technology, as he makes no sense at all. I believe he was bought into supporting Trump but can’t prove it – I mean paid a few 100s of thousands of dollars…
I have become disillusioned in the 2 party system and believe we need proportional representation.
Libertarians are just as utopians ans Maoists were in 1969. NO libertarian system exists in the world but if tried it would fail as anarchy would quickly reign and labor conditions would return to Dicken’s time in England.
Libertarianism may be worse than Communism because the most powerful and richest would quickly rule the country along with mafias. No limits would be imposed on the press, election campaigns and the infrastructure in poor areas would disintegrate as no-one would VOLUNTEER to pay for it.
Not sure if airport would be funded or how. Debates on how much to pay for federal projects would last years and result in stalemate even worse than now.Look at what we have: when budget cannot be passed on time even w/ 1 party controlling all branches of government…
Republicans ONLY serve corporations (large ones) and ensure they get LOTS of welfare while criticizing welfare for the people and attempting to cut it even though it’s a fraction of what corporations get (btw, only 17% of businesses are incorporated!)
YET I love some ideas libertarian promote in areas of FREEDOM AND LIBERTY.
I am a progressive or democratic socialist “a la Bernie Sanders” and will vote for E Warren if she is a candidate or Booker or?
I refused to vote for Neocon Hilary or Demagogue, racist, liar, Trump I voted Green in 2016.
I love animals and have 2 cats; love dogs but they require lots of work…

Welcome to the forums!

I always find lines like the following amusing…

So, what you’re saying is that Libertarianism would result in the same thing we have now under “democracy” and all Communist countries have had?
Ok, all we’re asking for is a chance to find out if that’s true.

Welcome to the Shire, where many different folks desire freedom.
To better understand Anarchism give Larken Rose’s book a try: “The Most Dangerous Superstition”.
The mention of alex jones draws me to reply.
alex jones is paid for (or brainwashed) by the “controllers” to instill fear and support fascism on a daily basis. People unfortunately feed off of this fear and become concerned about things like “the deep state” or “war with russia” or an “EMP from korea”. Constant boot-licking too by alex to the Orange Furher.
It isn’t just boatloads of internet sites that are constantly fear-mongering either. It’s what the mainstream is all about too. Maybe this is all too obvious to most, but the point of it is sometimes missed. It’s all being used to distract us from the real problem which is the day-to-day bowing to “authority” that feeds this beast known as “government”. When you realize that “authority” does not exist, then, and only then, will you become part of the solution. I only supported the ones that wrecked the Orange Furher’s “inauguration”.
