$2 BCH today will make me rich in a few years

I’ve been listening to ftl since the Florida days. I remember when I first started Ian was apologizing profusely for something called the “Free Talk Live Multitool” – I wonder if those have collectible value now?

I used to spend a lot of time on usenet forums and BBSs, but not so much these days. Mostly I’m here today because I expect to be paid :stuck_out_tongue:

Wow lol

You still made it which is cool!

Welcome

Probably not worth the space it takes up. @Johnson may have a pic of it somewhere.

Yes, I was in fact a peice of shit who didn’t test the samples. Biggest business lesson I’ve ever learned.

You learned about Chinese reliability. It seems to me Chinese products only work because the distributor performs quality assurance on every item.

I’ve heard a lot of horror stories about naive online sellers ordering merchandise from China without having someone on the ground checking it before they hand over the cash. People are ignorant on how China is essentially run by local mafias, so those selling for export who scam folk just constantly start new corporations and pay the right people off if trouble comes their way.

What’s worse, is if you’re not Chinese and you want to do the exporting, you’re gonna get jobbed. Thus, you have to have a Chinese contract you can trust to do the exporting, QC, etc. The Chinese government favors the Chinese (surprise) and there’s a lot of the abuse you talked about. Basically, China gets around to screwing everyone. As China gets more wealthy, it won’t be worth doing business in China any more because they’ll simply cost too much to get away with that crap.

I blame communist culture having a lingering effect on the morals of people who “want to be” capitalist. They completely don’t seem to understand honor. This makes them different from, say, Japanese, Taiwanese, South Koreans, etc., where honor is a BIG DEAL. Instead, they have “face,” which is like the appearance of honor. Hence all the knock-off products and fake expensive stuff.

Johnson, you may be able to draw some inspiration from one of my favorite YouTube channels: Uncle Rob.
