Hi Russell, long time no see! I’m here because I love liberty, meaning I want to live my life in my own way, the way I choose to live it. That means strategizing and acting in ways to minimize or neutralize the power of (the majority of) humans who seek to gain and wield power over others. The Free State Project itself is one such effort, and it explicitly is not limited to libertarians (not to mention anarchists); this means that other liberty-lovers are recognized as valuable allies who are invited to come to live in NH by the FSP and join the fray. Although formerly a libertarian, I don’t see it as a viable route anymore, and in fact libertarians are in some ways helping to prevent decreasing the power of the state (think of the LP running candidates against Ron Paul when he was in Congress; think open borders to increase the proportion of the population who are cultural statists, think forcing Christian bakeries to bake gay wedding cakes, think of people who could run as Republicans and win seats in the General Court but want to parade their purity by running LP and always losing…sometimes ensuring that super-statists get elected instead of a less-bad GOP candidate). So…here I am! :o)
Thank you for giving me that chance to explain myself Russell…but what the hell, don’t you people like diversity around here?
