Well, you've come to the right place if you want to fight for more freedom at near any cost you've come to the right place (though mostly we've just got security theatre anyway so we really just end up with more freedom when we fight it)! We certainly have the most active community when it comes to going out and doing activism.
Let me welcome you and put out an invite to our weekly Social Sunday meet up. Each week we have a number of social meetups. If you come out we can help you get setup to partake in our other activism activities as well. We've got it pretty well setup such that you can easily pick and choose groups and topics of things your interested in partaking in. And of course its allays good to partake in things your not necessarily particularly interested in where you have the time.
There is generally a lot of activism you can partake in too. I've got something to do on almost every day this week. There is actually so much to do in New Hampshire that you won't be able to partake in it all. Conflicts and things of that nature.
There are also other outdoors / living on the land / and technology-minded people here as well. I personally run a company focused on security and privacy (at least at some level, but not what you are thinking, and in and of itself it can be difficult to follow because the aspects of security or privacy I'm concerned about are entirely overlooked with the security arena generally speaking). We have an embedded software developer, data scientist, and a ton of others with computer science / engineering / and/or technology backgrounds in our little Keene/monadnock region.
