Border Patrol in White Mountains?
« on: February 01, 2012, 08:55:40 PM »
I've seen occasional reports of the Border Patrol's harassing tourists in the White Mountains, as part of America's "Constitution-Free Zone" (everywhere within 100 miles of a national border or coastline) but haven't been able to determine how often it's happening these days. Has it become less frequent or is it just not news any more?

We have it easy compared to people living near the Mexican border, where it's become the modern form of waylaying travelers for a regular income, but still it shouldn't be happening at all.

The last time I was stopped by the Border Patrol was two years ago on I-91 just south of the I-89 intersection.  They walked a dog around my vehicle and told me to leave.

Last year I saw two Border Patrol vehicles near I-89 in Lebanon.

Theyre also on RT 93 south bound lanes.

Thanks for the replies. The depressing part is that they can legally do this anywhere in the state, since New Hampshire is entirely in the Constitution-free zone. They just want to get us used to it gradually.

Actually they are doing it "illegally".  If the order of the hand in their system is that laws are subordinate to their constitution, then no law can violate the constitution without  it being an "illegal law".  In their world they are committing treason, but that doesn't matter.

The 4th amendment of the U.S. Constitution and article 19 of the NH Constitution prohibit warrantless searches.  They have used double speak and "case law" to reinterpret the english language so that words hold a different meaning.  I can attest to this, I was told  in a NH court that in New Hampshire article 15 (right of the accused) , the word "and" actually means "either / or" .  I shit you not.

Even the judge sort of smirked at that one.  His referring to case law reminded of a kid that I grew up with who had a dad that would umpire our ball games....all of his pitches even the ones in the dirt were "strikes". All of his foul balls were "homeruns".

The bottom line is they can do what they want and they are just being more brazen about it now.

NOTE- my mentioning their Constitution is not my endorsement of it. Besides, they abandoned it before I did.
