Keene 411 is like an SMS party line. You send a text to a phone number and the message is blasted out to an unlimited number of activists' phones. Here are step-by-step instructions for signing up:
1. TXT "Follow @411Keene" to 40404 - follow the instructions provided.
OR, using your computer:
1. Create a
Twitter account and verify your email, or have your user name and password handy.
2. Complete
these quick phone setup steps in your Twitter settings.
3. Go to
twitter.com/411Keene and click follow.
4. You should see a green box with two arrows and a lighter box with a phone. Click the phone (it should turn green).
5. To send out a Keene411, send an SMS text message of no more than 140 characters to 302-41-KEENE (302-415-3363). (You may send txts to this number from any phone, regardless of whether is is signed up for Keene411.) Please remember to sign your txts, so we know who is sending them.

As of the end of 2011, Keene 411 version 2.0 is now active. If you were a subscriber to the old Keene 411 (347-603-0411 and
@Keene411), then you'll need to use the new number 302-41-KEENE (302-415-3363), and follow the new Twitter,
@411Keene. When you are ready, you probably will want to remove the old Keene 411 from your phone and Twitter as we have no way of shutting it down.
