In a variety of ways.  Depends on what you mean by own.  I don't see how it's any of your business where JJ lives. 

When you ask questions like that, you don't seem like you've very tactful.  Do you think people should just tell strangers on an internet forum where they live?

If people knew who you were and you had built rapport, you might know such things, but by then you probably wouldn't have to ask.

What are you here on the forum to contribute?

If you dont want to answer the question, then dont. I asked if JJ lived there because he is/was the manager (from what i saw on you tube), if nobody answered then thats fine. Steer clear of me with your negative and defensive attitude, im just trying to learn about the environment up there. If your on this forum to start problems then this might not be the right place for you.

I think you should check yourself.  You came here with a negative attitude from the get-go, and have not yet put it aside.  No one here owes you anything, and you've certainly not made a good impression at all, at least from what I've seen.

You've been thrown out of other forums, apparently, so I think you might need to reassess how you approach this stuff.

One last point. I think its perfectly fine to get information about a place/organization if or before you send them your hard earned money.

You know who else says things like that? Bureaucrats trying to justify a really intrusive police state. Privacy is a right, IMHO. Ian's being nicer about it but I can translate. Who the Hell are you and how is it any of your business?

But I don't mind answering the funding question.

The Koch Brothers send us millions every year to fund the YouTube videos that we shoot with $100 Walmart handheld camcorders. We pay professional editors thousands of dollars to put together those videos. Oh wait... no, actually I think Derrick does a lot of that while losing sleep in between two jobs.

But yes, it's totally reasonable to want to know what you're supporting. It's just if you ask stupid questions, you're not going to be taken very seriously as a potential supporter/donor. When the KAC is buying commercials in the Superbowl, or really anywhere than YouTube and public access TV (which are FREE) then the question may seem like the kind of question that a potential supporter would reasonably ask.
