Thanks to Richard and Meg, we now have outreach fliers explaining the benefits of refusing to take a plea bargain!

What is done at the arraignment outreach, each morning:
Hand out "Don't take the plea deal" fliers to the victims of state aggression before arraignments.  Arrive at the city building at 8:00am, head up to the 2nd floor, offer fliers to all who are already up there waiting, then go back to the lobby and offer fliers to everyone coming in for court.  Continue until 9:00 to reach those who are running a little late.  You'll need the fliers and a partner is nice to have, so please use this forum thread to get organized.

huzzah!  the first thing i thought when i was finished with them was "Sam A. Robrin" isn't gonna like it.  boy was i wrong!

i made a colored version, if anyone is inspired to get some printed, i'd gladly fold them and hand them out.

also, i'd like to make a more generic version to post online so people outside of keene can participate in this outreach in their hometowns.  if someone could go through this and note where/what changes can be made, i am a little too busy to take care of that myself.  so, just message me with suggestions, and i'll update the files.  thanks ya'll!

Looks like 1000, 8.5"x11", 100lb matte card stock (no gloss finish), tri-fold, 4 color front & back, 3-day turn-around, 5-day ground shipping would cost $220 (or less).

Did I mention I love UPrinting?

A. Would we consider not putting a Uprinting order in until Wednesday's outreach is completed? Meaning we wouldn't want to order a bunch if outreach goes poorly for some reason.

B. To whoever wants to organize the cost collection. I'm in for $100

C. I think the brochure lacks incentive for people to plead not-guilty besides "clogging the system". Would be great if it had things like "It's your right to have a trial - and the State can't wait for you to waive that right" and "Often, prosecutors don't come prepared enough to trial" and "Prosecutors sometimes drop charges or offer even better deals closer to trial" and "waiting for trial means you don't have to pay today". There are reasons besides slowing the system to take your case to trial.

That's misquoted.  It's the 100lb paper that is cheaper (you wouldn't want a trifold on cardstock), and going glossy puts the price just above $200.  I'm in for $50.
