introduction
« on: March 06, 2013, 08:40:30 AM »
I came across a link to this forum at the free state forum and decided to check it out.  I'd heard about the free state project many years ago but didn't pay it much attention until I heard Stossel refer to it several months ago.  I looked it up on the web and became a friend.  I'm not a participant because I don't know if or when I'll be able to move to NH.  I did visit last month, though (Manchester) and went on several job interviews (nothing promising).  Next I'll check out Portsmouth.  I mostly keep to myself, but I was active in the sanctuary movement back in the 80's (sheltered Salvadoran illegals so they wouldn't be deported and executed) and when I first moved home 20 years ago I teamed up with my uncle and helped start the first local Republican party here (prior to that there was only one party locally and it was predictably corrupt).  The Libertarian start up fell flat.

Hope I met the requirements

Keep the faith,

Judson

Glad to hear that you have found the Free State Project and are interested in helping out. You have met and exceeded the requirements for setting off a good conversation.

I am Keith, a recent mover to the Upper Valley area of New Hampshire. I pledged to move as part of the Free State Project after a liberty forum back in 2008. At the time I had no idea how to move to New Hampshire, or where to work at the time. Once I committed to moving to NH it all just lined up, mostly by accident. So 6 months ago my wife and I moved after I found a job up here, and now she has also found a good job here as well  just two weeks ago. In summary, the statement of intent for the FSP is exactly that there are 13,912 people who intend to move as soon as they can after the counter reaches 20,000 people.

Its great to hear that you are visiting and interviewing already, what did you think of Manchester?

When you say that you moved home where was that?

If you announce you Portsmouth visit early enough I am sure there will be movers around you may be able to meet. Good luck with your local politics or other activities, it is unfortunate, but unsurprising that the libertarian party was unsuccessful.
